I found this little fellow sunning himself on the rocks of the breakwater in Narooma, Its a small country town 340klms South of Sydney. He did not seem to mind me getting within meters of him to snap his picture. I estimate he would of weighed approximately 80 to 90kg's. 'A very lucky photo opportunity' , It truly made my day.. !
While we have never seen a seal in the wild, we do love watching and feeding them at Sea World. What a wonderful photo and experience.

ReplyDeleteThere was a seal colony, very near where I was living in Wellington , NZ. We would often walk around the rocks and watch them.
No seals here in the High Sierra Desert, but plenty of squirrels, marmots, bears and so on :-)
